National Instruments Standard System Service and Factory Installation Services (FIS) provide the fastest, easiest way to get your new system up and running. NI delivers the system ready to use right out of the box, fully assembled and tested, with required drivers and software factory installed. This reduces your setup and development time and saves you money. In addition, NI protects your system with an extended warranty and calibration services for up to two additional years.

Standard System Service for NI CompactRIO and Compact FieldPoint

Receive the following features when you select this service through your local NI sales representative or the NI advisors:

  • Complete system in one box
  • System fully assembled with correct torque applied to screws
  • Drivers installed on the controller
  • System functional test that verifies drivers are correctly installed and system is operating
  • Extended warranty adds up to three years to system warranty
  • Two additional basic calibrations included per module in the first three years of ownership
  • Documentation portfolio including getting started diagram, bill of materials, printed calibration certificates, specifications and certifications for the system, and wiring diagrams for each module

NI Factory Installation Services (FIS) for PXI

By ordering FIS through your local NI sales representative or the NI advisors, you receive the following features:

  • Ability to select slot position for each module within your system
  • Complete system in one box
  • System fully assembled with correct torque applied to screws
  • Drivers installed correctly on the controller
  • Factory image created for emergency restoration in the event of a hard-drive corruption
  • Getting started application that documents all modules, provides links to manuals, and documents driver revisions
  • System functional test that verifies drivers are correctly installed and system is operating
  • Extended warranty that adds up to two years to the system warranty
  • One additional basic calibration included per module in the first three years of ownership
  • Documentation portfolio including bill of materials and printed calibration certificates

With the NI custom FIS option, use the NI manufacturing infrastructure to provide custom services such as system assembly, testing, software installation, and configuration. Because these services are customized, NI can take your design to a new level by applying custom labeling, electronically protecting your intellectual property, and directly shipping from the NI factory to your site anywhere in the world. In addition, you can take advantage of warranty and calibration services for your customized system.
